Calvi Brambilla

Fabio Calvi (1969) studied at Brunel University of West London and graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano. He collaborated with Gianfranco Frattini and from 2004, for eight years, was art director of all exhibition designs for Flos. Paolo Brambilla (1973) studied at the UPC in Barcelona and graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano; he taught Interior Design at the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano and is a member of the Milan Order of Architects (Ordine degli Architetti PPC). Since 2023, the practice has been operating as Calvi Brambilla and Partners STP SRL, joined by Marisa Rotolo, engineer, and Maurizio Diraco, interior designer.

Founded in 2006, Calvi Brambilla works across private residences, offices, retail spaces, exhibitions and product design. In 2015, the studio received a special mention at the Medaglia d’Oro dell’Architettura Italiana at the Triennale di Milano and won the invited LC50 competition organised by Interni magazine with Cassina; it also received the Good Design Award in 2017 and 2019 and the German Design Award in 2019 and 2020. In 2016, it was selected for the ADI Design Index for an exhibition project for Zanotta and received the Salone del Mobile Milano Award for the Flos stand at Euroluce 2017.

Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla are art directors of Dooor and Zanotta, and have also been creative directors of Flos, overseeing product selection and development.
