Frag views quality as a strategic choice, and has adopted a virtuous business model in which quality management systems that guarantee process performance are combined with high product and service standards. It’s a choice that makes a difference, one which is designed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Frag performs technical tests on materials, components and products throughout product design and development, and in subsequent control activities.
To supplement its own internal laboratory, it also employs an authoritative external body, the CATAS Centre, one of the largest Italian R&D institutions that also acts as a testing laboratory for the wood and furniture sector. CATAS has been SINAL-accredited since 1991 to carry out over one hundred tests. Since 2000, it has also been authorised by the Ministry of the Interior to provide certifications regarding flammability of materials, suitable for obtaining ministerial approval.
In 1991 Frag was one of the first companies in the furniture sector to obtain ISO 9001: 2000 certification – the international reference standard – of its organisational and production system.
Management System Certification is evidence of a company’s constant pursuit of quality and reliability. The primary objective of this certification is to guarantee, over time, the best possible management of the principal processes of the company, from product design and development to management of the supply of raw materials, from testing and inspection of the incoming and outgoing products to the ongoing and meticulous oversight of the production process, from the management of orders to a continuous focus on the requests and needs of the consumer, with the ultimate goal of always fully satisfying our clients.
Frag has opted to achieve certification in support of a sustainable future. The company is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified and guarantees its customers that its products are made of wood from forests managed correctly and responsibly according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.
FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification enables Frag to ensure traceability of the materials used in its collection, all from FSC certified forests, and provides transparency in the passage of goods from forest to final consumer, including all phases of processing and marketing.
In 2018 the company reached the BS OHSAS 18001 standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, its objective being the prevention, control and monitoring of risks, and the continuous improvement of OSH performance.
In July 2021, the company updated to obtain the ISO 45001: 2018 standard
